National Trail Blazers Varsity fell 14-10 to Valley View on Saturday despite four RBIs from Cody Webb. Webb drove in runs on a double in the first, a sacrifice fly in the second, and a walk in the seventh.

National Trail Blazers Varsity collected nine hits and Valley View had 13 in the high-scoring affair.

National Trail Blazers Varsity got on the board in the first inning. Webb doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring two runs.

Valley View evened things up at four in the bottom of the third inning when Wyatt House induced Musgrove to hit into a fielder’s choice, but one run scored.

Valley View pulled away for good with seven runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth Ebersole doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring two runs, L. Schullee singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs, Craft’s sac fly scored one run for Valley View, and Coulter doubled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

National Trail Blazers Varsity tallied three runs in the seventh inning. The offensive firepower by National Trail Blazers Varsity was led by Webb and House, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Musgrove led the Valley View to victory on the hill. Musgrove went five innings, allowing four runs on seven hits and striking out four. Musgrove and Schuller entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

House took the loss for National Trail Blazers Varsity. The righthander surrendered five runs on four hits over three innings, walking one.

National Trail Blazers Varsity racked up nine hits. House, Webb, and Cameron Harrison each had multiple hits for National Trail Blazers Varsity. Harrison, Webb, and House each managed two hits to lead National Trail Blazers Varsity. Harrison scored 3 times in the contest.

Valley View tallied 13 hits in the game. Ebersole, Hayeo, and Coulter all had multiple hits for Valley View.
