The National Trail Volleyball team ended this crazy, wild season with a loss to the #1 seed Northeastern. “We knew that this volleyball season would be “unprecedented”, but these young women have nothing to hang their heads about. In early September we lost our starting senior setter to a season ending ACL injury and then went into 2 week quarantine. We lost another starter for the second half of the season, had a season ending surgery for another varsity player, and our senior captain was unable to play in the tournament game against the #1 seed…UNPRECEDENTED season! My hat is off to these young women who battled with everything they had against a very good Northeastern team.
I also would like to thank coaches Jackie Barnes and Stephanie Sink for the AMAZING job they did this year. As the “head” coach, I could not have done it without them, I am blessed!”
Offensively, Tristan Bowers and Addie Sparks each had 6 kills, while freshman Kynzie Everman had 10 assists and Angel Bowers had 2 assists. Jaidyn Tout had the lone ace for the Blazers. Defensively, Addie had 14 digs, Mykenzie Smith 6, Angel and Kynzie with 4 digs each. At the net, J’da Jackson had 2 blocks, while Tristan and Jaidyn each had 1 block.
