The coed track and field team was in action again Tuesday night at Franklin Monroe High school. The Lady Blazers scored 30 points and came in third, while the boys team scored 43.5 points and came in 4th.
Placing and score for the ladies individually were Cait Gilland (3rd in shot and 2nd in discus), Cheyenne Gillett (5th in the discus, 4th in the 300m hurdles), Alli Whitesell (2nd in the 1600m run, 3rd in the 300m hurdles), Kelsey Holsapple (2nd in the 100m hurdles), Grace Good (3rd in the 100m hurdles), and Halle Osborne (2nd in the 3200m run). The girls 4×200 team of Alli Whitesell, Grace Good, Cheyenne Gillett, and Kelsey Holsapple placed third.
Placing and scoring for boys individually were Jacob Ray (3rd in the long jump, T2nd in the 100m dash), Kole Glander (2nd in the shot put, 3rd in the discus), Kaleb Zapfe (4th in the 100m dash, 3rd in the 400m dash, and 3rd in the 200m dash), Tyler Porter (2nd in the 1600m run, 3rd in the 800m run), and Kylan Osborn (5th in the 800m run). The boys 4x800m relay team of Kylan Osborn, Tyler Porter, Jack Weaver, and Nathan Bottoms placed 2nd. The 4×200 team of Miguel Fernandez, Kylan Osborn, Jack Weaver, and Kevin Christensen placed 3rd. The 4×100 team of Kevin Christensen, Zack Horn, Jacob Ray, and Jack Weaver placed 3rd. Finally the 4×400 team of Tyler Porter, Kevin Christensen, Jacob Ray, and Kaleb Zapfe placed 1st.
Overall the Blazers worked hard on a beautiful spring night. The Blazers will be back in action on Friday at the Fred Durkle Invitational at Twin Valley South.
