Game Recap

National Trail beat Mississinawa Valley 41-12 on homecoming night.

Evynn Short had 187 yards passing and 6 touchdowns.

Angel Garabito had a 45 yard touchdown reception.

Jacob Heck had 3 catches for 50 yards and 1 receiving touchdown.

Noah Brinkley and Zach Woodall both had 2 touchdown receptions on the night.

Dalton Mason led the Blazers on defense with 3 sacks, 3 tackles for loss. Overall he had 8 tackles on the night. Mason also forced a fumble.

Malachi Short also forced a fumble and Levi Norton had an interception.

Game Recap

Ansonia defeated National Trail in the last match of the regular season on Thursday night. Scores were 25-16, 12-25, 17-25, 16-25. Leading the offense for the Blazers were Junior Lexi Stiner with 10 kills and freshman Tristan Bowers with 4 kills. Freshman Angel Bowers had 2 aces to lead the way at the service line. Risa Griffin (libero), anchored our back row play with 30 good serve receptions and 12 digs.
National Trail ends the regular season 4-18. The Lady Blazers will begin tournament play on Saturday Oct. 21st against the winner of Dayton Christian and Fort Loramie.

Game Recap

National Trail volleyball traveled to Bethel and lost in a 5 set match. Leaders for NT were senior Lauren Moore with 8 kills, junior Lexi Stiner and freshman Tristan Bowers both had 6 kills. Junior Risa Griffin led the way at the service line with 2 aces. Lexi Stiner had 7 blocks to lead the Blazers defense in the front row and Risa Griffin (Libero) had an awesome defensive match in the back row. NT is now 4-17 overall & 0-11 in the CCC. Trail finishes up regular season play on Thursday (senior night) against Ansonia.

National Trail volleyball continued their winning streak on Monday night with a win over Carlisle. “It was a great win, I really saw the girls step up their play in the last set. This team is coming together and believing that they can win. It is fun watching them play when they play with passion! NT had 3 girls in double digits in kills tonight, we will need to continue to spread the offense out as we enter tournament play. Back row play was stellar! “

Game Recap

National Trail volleyball defeated Dayton Christian in 3 sets on Saturday. 25-4, 25-7, 25-18.
Offensively, junior Lexi Stiner had 11 kills, freshman Tristan Bowers 5 kills, senior Lauren Moore 2kills, sophomore Katie Deardorf 2 kills, sophomore Brooke Johnson and senior Ariel Lee both had one kill. Freshman Angel Bowers had 10 assists and Brooke Johnson had 6. Angel Bowers also led the team in aces with 5, junior Risa Griffin had 4 aces, Lauren Moore and Brooke Johnson each had 3.
National Trail is currently 3-16 overall. NTHS will play at Carlisle on Monday for a rescheduled match.

National Trail lost to Ansonia 40-7 on Friday night.

Peyton Lane had 110 rushing yards on 8 carries. Lane also contributed 16 tackles on defense.

Evynn Short had 108 passing yards on 5 completions.

Angel Garabito had the lone score for the Blazers coming on a 72 yard pass from Evynn Short.

Joe Lawson had 11 tackles for the Blazers.

The loss takes National Trail to 2-5 on the season and 1-4 in conference play.

Game Recap

National Trail traveled across the state line to take on Union County Patriots on Thursday night. “Even though we lost in 3 sets, I saw an intensity and passion from the girls that I had not seen. Union County is a good, hard hitting team and we played with passion tonight! I was pleased with the intensity and even though we lost, I saw some fire in the girls that we had been lacking in previous matches.” Leading the Lady Blazers offensively were Lexi Stiner with 5 kills, Angel Bowers with 3 kills/ 3 assists and Katelyn Deardorff with 1 kill. Brooke Johnson had 4 aces and 4 assists. Ariel Lee also had 1 assist. At the service line, Angel Bowers, Lauren Moore and Risa Griffin each added one ace a piece.
National Trail is now 2-16 overall and heading into a busy week before tournament.
